Action Items
Prioritize RESIDENTS' budgets by keeping a hard line on property tax increases restricting them at or below inflation through pushing back on non-essential county projects.
Enhance Ward 6 safety and cleanliness for RESIDENTS, prioritizing line painting and shoulder rumble strips on our Range and Township roads for added road safety in summer and winter.
Increase opportunities for Ward 6 RESIDENTS’ input through regular open houses and increased time at council meetings.
Expand assistance for Ward 6 BUSINESSES and RESIDENTS when navigating permit and development hurdles.
For Residents
Residents may feel like they’re on their own when when issues arise in the county that effect them, an elected official should be a liaison to assist as required. I would be available to hear your concern and assist as best possible
For Community
An essential element of community is having connected neighbourhoods. A robust trail system provides residents safer means to visit neighbours, access community parks and even bike into Sherwood Park all without walking or riding on busy roads. During my term I would advocate for trail projects where feasible
Another essential part of ward 6 is our three great community leagues who put a ton of effort into helping foster healthy communities. Operating a community league isn’t easy and there are areas the county can increase assistance so volunteers have more time to focus on community building events and projects.
For Business
Starting and operating a business is tough and when navigating county offices it’s helpful to have someone to confer with. I understand business and would be available to liaise if the situation requires.
